If your injury has been caused by an accident you can fill out an ACC form with us at your first visit.

Once this is accepted by ACC, the resulting subsidy will cover part of your physiotherapy treatment cost.

An accident may be the result of:

• Application of force or resistance external to the body (including gravity)

• Sudden body movement to avoid force or resistance (including gravity), eg jumping out of the way of a falling object

• A twisting movement

• A series of related events within a defined timeframe, which is not usual for that person eg digging the garden over the weekend

This may have been at home or at work, during your leisure time or while playing sport.
